Two door refrigerators are also known as Top and Bottom Refrigerators. They are your basic, standard refrigerator, although they can now come with extra bells and whistles. Baltimore Used Appliances has a selection of new and used two door refrigerators.
There are three main configurations:

• Freezer on top
• Freezer on the bottom
• Freezer on one side (Side by Side)

TOP FREEZER REFRIGERATORS

The most common is the freezer on top. Refrigerators with a top freezer are usually less expensive than the fridges with freezers on the bottom or the side. Also, there is usually more space in a top freezer than a bottom freezer on the same size refrigerator.  This is most likely due to the drawers in the bottom freezer. Also, top freezers are more energy efficient. The Department of Energy says that top freezer refrigerators use 10-25% less energy than bottom freezer refrigerators.

BOTTOM FREEZER REFRIGERATORS

A lot of people like this style because the refrigerator part that you use the most is up at eye level. The less used freezer is at the bottom. A top freezer refrigerator can have shelves but not drawers because you would need to be 7 feet tall to see what was in them. Bottom freezers typically have pull out drawers which can make organizing easier. The downside is that they are more expensive.

​SIDE BY SIDE REFRIGERATORS

Side by Side fridges look elegant but are less energy efficient and are less space efficient. Because they are side by side, the shelves are not as wide so storing wide things like a pizza box is an issue. It is convenient though because both things in the refrigerator and the freezer are easy to reach.
